Common Sense Parenting® is a six-week, skill-based course developed by Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home (Boys Town). It provides parents with methods that encourage positive behaviors in children, discourage negative behaviors, and teach appropriate alternatives to negative behaviors. Highly-trained Omaha Home for Boys staff members are able to help parents improve their care for and discipline of their children and build a more stable parent-child relationship and healthier, happier families.

Parents receive a Common Sense Parenting® book that includes skills and other beneficial tools. The course also incorporates videos and exercises to prepare parents to use their newly-learned skills in everyday situations.
