EFFECTIVE PARENTING
With today’s problems, increasing fragmented families, rising juvenile offenses, growth in child abuse and neglect, more alcoholism and drug dependence – it’s harder than ever to be a good parent. There’s help, designed especially for you, from the Effective Parenting program offered by the Omaha Home for Boys. This proven program has worked for thousands of parents and families across the country. These principles, applied in your home, will work for you!
The Effective Parenting program consists of Common Sense Parenting for School-Aged Children and Advanced Parenting.
- Common Sense Parenting for School-Aged Children is a six week parenting course designed for parents of children ages 6-18, to read more about this class click here.
- Advanced Parenting is offered to all parents who have completed one of the Common Sense Parenting classes. This group meets the first Tuesday of every month to talk and learn about issues related to parenting. Advanced Parenting is a way to keep parents connected to the skills they learned in the Common Sense Parenting class. Parents share their experiences while also learning from other parents.
