Eugene C. Eppley Recreation Center

The Recreation Center, on the Home’s main campus, serves as home base for all recreation and athletic programs.  Residents have the following options when they come to the center:
•    gymnasium
•    gameroom
•    weight and fitness room
•    indoor swimming pool
•    complete woodshop
•    outdoor tennis
•    outdoor basketball courts
•    baseball field
•    outdoor multi-purpose field

Intramural sports, and excellent outdoor recreation opportunities, are highlights of the program.  Teaching young people how to use their leisure time appropriately is important to their overall health and well-being.  All activities focus on participants enjoying their experience over the competition aspect. 

The recreation center has a Wellness Program that all youth participate in. Supporting education in physical and nutritional information.

The recreation facilities are open to many outside community groups and agencies and are an important part of the Home’s overall outreach program.
