Residential Group Care
When a boy cannot grow up in his own home, it’s heartbreaking. Whether he cannot stay out of trouble, is no longer safe in his home, or is struggling in school … he is not growing toward the man he can become. In many cases, the Omaha Home for Boys can help.
The Residential Care Program provides structure, supervision, and training in life skills, all with the intention to strengthen the youth and his family. Boys live in a cottage setting with loving House Parents for a minimum of twelve months. This married couple provides for each boy’s daily needs, educational support and act as the primary counselors.
All youth attend the public school system, which provides additional opportunities for involvement in activities and ongoing interaction with teachers and peers in an educational setting.
While the boy lives at the Home, parents attend classes through the Training Institute. These classes help the parent identify key ways to aide in the treatment of their youth.
Our goal is to re-unite the family. Strengthening both the youth and the family is essential to the success of this program.
