President's Message
This year–2010–is the Omaha Home for Boys’ 90th Anniversary of service to youth and families. In this anniversary year, I am very proud to say I am the new president of the Omaha Home for Boys.
There are many wonderful chapters in the 90-year history of the Omaha Home for Boys: from the founding of the Home in downtown Omaha in 1920 to moving to our current home here on Inspiration Hill in 1945; from Residential Care to Independent Living. The more I learn about the history of the Home, the more I am impressed with the legion of people who came before us who displayed perseverance and generosity on behalf of boys in need.
So, as we celebrate a major milestone of service, it is ever important to look forward and plan for our future.
My top priorities for this year are to reach more at risk male youth by finding innovative and proven approaches to strengthening youth and families and to make sure the Home is a good steward of every dollar given to support the boys.
As we begin this new chapter together, I look forward to sharing with you the great work we are doing on behalf of youth and families.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our mission of strengthening youth & families… 90 years strong!
Scott Hazelrigg,
President
