Youth Mart Independent Living Donation Center, housed at the Omaha Home for Boys, is having its SPRING DONATION DRIVE Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Omaha Home for Boys campus.
Youth Mart is a donation center for former foster youth ages 16 to 24. This initiative came about from an identified need by former foster youth at the Eastern Service Area Youth Permanency Summit.
Needed are household items and furniture for former foster yout living independently in the community. Examples include: couches, loveseats, arm chairs, dressers, bed frames, new mattresses, microwaves, vacuums, small appliances and household goods such as pots and pans, lamps, dishers, etc.
The center is made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation in collaboration with Nebraska Families Collaborative, Child Saving Institute, Project Everlast, Omaha Home for Boys, Luthern Family Services, Central Plains Center for Services and the community.
