The Omaha Home for Boys
Strengthening Youth and Families
A Glance at the Home
The mission of Strengthening Youth and Families is not new to The Omaha Home for Boys. Since being founded in 1920, The Omaha Home for Boys has been committed to doing that . . . and much, much more.
More than 5,000 boys from every corner of the United States have come through the doors of the Home. These boys come to us lonely, abandoned, neglected and in need of direction. The vast majority of these boys leave the Home to go on to become better husbands, fathers, neighbors and friends. In fact, the Homes chief legal counsel is a former resident, as is the Homes Director of Youth and Family Services.
The programs and services provided could not be done without the caring support of friends and donors nationwide. Thanks to this vast group of friends the Home continues to be virtually 100% privately funded and does not charge a fee for services.
The Omaha Home for Boys is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).
