1998 Annual Report

Since being founded more than 75 years ago, The Omaha Home for Boys has been committed to supporting and strengthening families and youth.

Almost 4000 boys from every corner of the United States have come through our doors. The vast majority of these boys have gone on to become better husbands, fathers and neighbors. In fact, the Home’s chief legal counsel is a former boy, as is our Director of Youth & Family Service.

Thanks to the caring support of friends and donors nationwide, the Home continues to be 100% privately funded. Our dedicated staff of more than 65, committed volunteers (such as our mentoring and job shadowing volunteers) and visionary 30 member Board of Directors – which includes the former Chancellor of the University of Nebraska at Omaha – are committed to providing youth and families with the very best residential care, counseling and life skills training available.

The Omaha Home for Boys is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is nationally accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).
