President’s Message

Thank you for visiting our new home – the online home of the Omaha Home for Boys.

It is good to have a place to call home, and I am not just referring to our refreshed, online look or the improved functionality of our home on the World Wide Web.
Our website is powered by something more than software and hardware – it is fueled by the goal of providing youth with a home and faithful support while we prepare them to return to their families or live independently.

Our mission is To Support and Strengthen Youth and Families.

I know that sounds like a broad goal, and it is. To understand our mission, browse through our website and discover all the ways we strive to achieve it. Explore how YOU keep us focused on the push forward to help as many struggling youth and families as we can.
Take a look at the successful Programs we provide and read about our Residential Care Program, Jacobs’ Place and Branching Out. These programs help improve the lives of the young men and women in our care.
Make sure you check out the Training section, especially our Parenting Classes. There are times parents can use a little help raising their children. It is a hard task, especially in this modern era with all of its distractions. These classes can make parenting even more rewarding. I wish this resource was available when my wife and I were raising our children.

Of course, it is because of the generosity of others we are able to provide quality programs and care to youth and families. Consider getting involved or contributing to our efforts. Your contributions of money, in-kind gifts or participation in our events, are critical to our youths’ success. You can make your gift online today and help provide youth with the skills, knowledge and opportunity to be productive citizens. Your support allows a fresh start to begin at “Home.”
Thank you for all of the support you provide our youth.
